It was super cold last night, so I didn't take any pictures of the install to speed up the process. I ended up mounting the camera in the keyhole on the trunk lid. I'd love to see some mounting options if you currently have one installed. I figured I can either run the wires through a small hole I cut into the grip or run it through one of the rear plate lights to the inside of the trunk. On the B5's there was a microswitch that actually released the trunk, but on the B5.5 it is only a grip without a switch. Where are some suggestions to put the camera? I'm thinking about putting it on the rubber grip above the license plate on the trunk. Does this go into the rear backup light wire to only turn on the camera when the car is going in reverse to prevent battery drain? (ground is simple, so I can figure that out easily)

The rear view camera has a 12V power input. Do you know which color wire the trigger needs to be tapped to? I think it's a blue wire with the stripe, but not 100%. From my research, it looks like I need to tap into the brown harness near the bottom of the A-pillar on the drivers side. The Pioneer harness has a wire for a Reverse trigger to switch the video source when the transmission is in reverse. Has anyone done this yet? If you have, could I pick your brain? I did a search here and on the 'tex and couldn't find anyone who installed an aftermarket backup camera for their B5/B5.5. I'm in the process of pulling out my previous Pioneer AppRadio for a new Double-DIN Pioneer and figured I'd add a backup camera while I have the time and the access.
